Bluesky Lets Posts Grow Buttons

Bluesky is expanding Attie, its experimental AI tool, from creating custom feeds into building small social applications. Users can make games, polls, dashboards and websites to share with others. The platform is calling the broader approach social vibe coding. Having an opinion online may soon seem insufficiently ambitious unless it also has a loading screen. The practical attraction is a shorter route from an idea to an interactive object. A community quiz or a narrowly useful dashboard does not always require a conventional development project. Attie gives users a way to attempt those projects and distribute them through a social setting rather than starting with an empty website and an equally empty audience. This is a change in what participation can look like. A feed organizes existing conversation; a small application gives people something to do together. Polls, games and dashboards serve different purposes, but all move beyond posting another paragraph into the stream. The experiments can remain small. That is part of their appeal, not necessarily a defect waiting for a venture investor to repair. A website built for one group or one occasion need not become a platform. Sometimes the technological breakthrough is a quiz that ends before anyone appoints a head of community engagement.
