The Ramp and the Benchmark Sell Different Futures
· New York time
Tesla's Roadster concept demonstration used ramps and thrusters, while Meta supports its Muse Spark Open capability claims with company-released evaluations. Both are concrete launch devices, but they show different things: reported physical maneuvers in one case, measured model comparisons selected and published by the developer in the other. The shared promotional achievement is attention. One launch makes a car rotate; the other makes a performance chart ascend. Neither maneuver automatically carries the customer all the way home.
