Chrome Gets the Integration After Atlas Leaves

OpenAI's ChatGPT Atlas browser is gone, while its Chrome extension is gaining access to users' existing tabs, according to The Verge. OpenAI says the extension can view those tabs when users tag Chrome in ChatGPT's web or desktop app. The product route therefore moves assistance toward a browser people already use instead of requiring a separate browsing destination. That is a distribution change as well as an interface feature. The ambitious new front door has yielded to an addition inside an established building. In software, sometimes the expansion plan becomes a very capable houseguest.
