Slushy Noobz Adds an Agency to the Channel
· New York time
Canadian comedy duo Slushy Noobz, Martin Andrijasevic and Hamzah Al-Emad, has signed with United Talent Agency, the agency confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. The duo has roughly 1.7 million YouTube subscribers and will work with UTA on expansion into touring, filmed entertainment, podcasting and brand partnerships. The move puts creator-native comedy alongside the representation machinery used across entertainment. New formats offer opportunities, but the specific appeal that brought viewers in remains the foundation. An audience is not simply a portable crowd waiting to be placed beside any project. People follow a style, a relationship and a reason to return. Internet comedy can grow into a business requiring formal introductions. A channel starts by finding its voice and eventually needs someone to take calls about where that voice might go next, preferably without putting it on hold indefinitely.
